Ruha Elektrik Announces a $1 Billion Investment in the Turkish Economy

Ruha Elektrik has strengthened its long-standing partnership with Hyundai Electric by contributing a major $1 billion investment to the Turkish economy. Hyundai Electric announced that it will manufacture hundreds of product types—including thermal relays, contactors, switchgear components, and automatic circuit breakers—in Türkiye and export them to international markets. This decision reflects Hyundai’s confidence in Türkiye’s strong political and economic foundations.

The 15-year partnership between Hyundai Electric and Ruha Elektrik has been further reinforced through this significant investment, highlighting once again the reliability and stability of Türkiye’s economy.

A 40,000 m² Facility and a Global Export Vision
Ruha Elektrik has acquired a 40,000 m² facility in Silivri and prepared it for production. The goal is to manufacture Hyundai products in Türkiye and export them primarily to neighboring regions and, ultimately, worldwide.

Sinan Adıgüzel, Türkiye Sales Coordinator of Ruha Elektrik, expressed their pride in making such an impactful investment in a globally competitive environment. He reiterated that the production agreement with Hyundai would soon transition to domestic manufacturing, especially for critical switchgear products such as contactors, compact circuit breakers, and fuses. These products will be exported to numerous countries, strengthening the company’s position in the industry.

This investment is expected to bring substantial foreign currency inflow to Türkiye and create thousands of new jobs.

Joint Vision in Renewable Energy
Adıgüzel emphasized the growing importance of renewable energy both globally and in Türkiye. He noted that Hyundai is one of the most established brands in the green energy sector and expressed their intention to collaborate on solar, wind, and similar sustainable energy projects.

Among Türkiye’s Top 500 Companies
Ruha Elektrik has once again been listed among Türkiye’s Top 500 Companies, published by a leading economic magazine. As one of the pioneer companies in the electrical sector, Ruha Elektrik has continued its steady growth over the past three years.

The company entered the list in 2015 at 396th place, then

rose to 320th in 2016,
and to 317th in 2017, signaling continuous growth.
